Auto Locksmith & Car Keys

Locked out of your car, lost the only key, or snapped one in the ignition. We open vehicles without damage and cut and program replacement keys at the roadside, usually for far less than a main dealer.

No call-out charge. Send a photo of the lock and we’ll quote before we set off.

What this covers

  • Car and van lockouts opened without damage
  • Replacement keys cut and programmed at the roadside
  • Transponder and chip keys coded to your vehicle
  • Remote fobs supplied, repaired and reprogrammed
  • All keys lost — new keys produced from scratch
  • Broken keys extracted from the ignition or door
  • Spare keys, so a single lost key never strands you again

Not sure whether your job fits? Ring and describe it. We’ll tell you honestly, including when it’s something you don’t need a locksmith for at all.

We’ll tell you straight away, either way.

Where we cover

Our own locksmiths work across 6 boroughs: Southwark, Lambeth, Lewisham, Greenwich, City of London and Westminster. Outside that we arrange a vetted locksmith from our network and stay responsible for the job.

Questions we get asked

I have lost every key to my car. Can you still help?
Yes. This is what the trade calls all keys lost, and it is routine work. We generate a new key to the vehicle and program it to the immobiliser at the roadside, so the car does not need recovering to a dealer. Bring photo ID and proof you own the vehicle, such as the V5C — we will ask, for obvious reasons.
Is an auto locksmith cheaper than the main dealer?
Usually, and often substantially. A dealer will normally want the vehicle brought to them, which can mean recovery costs on top of the key itself. We come to where the car is and do the work there.
Will you damage the car opening it?
No. Vehicles are opened non-destructively using tools made for the purpose. If a particular car cannot be opened that way we will tell you rather than force it.
Can you program a key I bought online?
Sometimes, but be careful. Cheap aftermarket blanks and fobs vary enormously in quality, and some cannot be programmed at all or fail within months. Send us a photo of what you have bought and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth using before you pay us to try.
Should I get a spare cut before I need one?
Yes, and it is far cheaper than the alternative. Producing a spare while you still have a working key is a straightforward job. Producing a key when every one is lost is a much bigger one, at a much worse moment.
