Insured, and straight about what we are
We carry public liability insurance on every job, domestic and commercial. If something goes wrong at your property, you’re covered. Plenty of operators advertising online are not, and you generally find out at the worst possible moment.
We’ll also tell you what we’re not. Anyone in the UK can call themselves a locksmith — there is no licence and no register you must be on. We aren’t a member of a trade body, and we’d rather say so than dress the website in badges that don’t mean anything. What we offer instead is a name, a locksmith based a few minutes from your door, insurance, no call-out charge, and a price agreed before we touch anything.
No call-out charge, and a quote before we set off
The classic locksmith complaint goes like this: a low price on the phone, a much larger bill once the door is open, and a customer who feels they had no choice but to pay it.
We don’t charge for asking. Send us a photo of the lock and we’ll quote before we set off, then confirm the price before we start. If you’d rather not go ahead once we’re there, you pay only a minimum labour charge, based on how far we travelled to you.
Where we work, and what happens beyond it
Our own locksmiths cover 29 postcode districts across Southwark, Lambeth, Lewisham, Greenwich, the City and Westminster — everywhere we can genuinely reach in about half an hour.
Further out, we don’t just say no. We arrange a vetted, insured locksmith from our network, and your contract stays with us. We’re the ones you call if anything isn’t right, and the ones responsible for putting it right.
